| 1984 | Starts a career of writing about games, by introducing and criticizing games on TV, on radio programs, in regular, computer and the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) specialized magazines. |
| 1987 | Starts development of his own software with the release of "Quinty", the NES software. |
| 1989 | In April, incorporated "Game Freak, Inc.". He became Chief Executive Officer of this company. |
| 1990 | Writes up a youth-oriented novel called "Catch the Packland" for the game generation (published by JICC). |
| 1991 | Becomes a guest speaker at the Vantan Design Institute Department in a lecture entitled "Introduction to Games". The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) software "Jerry Boy" receives the Character Design Award in the Multimedia Grand Prix Video Game Section. |
